We took Keely to her first doctor's appointment on Thursday to see her pediatrician Dr. Bochsler. This wasn't the first time they had met as he saw her in the hospital, but it was her first time to his office. She was really content as they checked her weight and length (9lbs. 0oz., 20 1/2", both at the 50 percentile), measured her head (45 percentile, small head like dad), listened to her chest, and gave her the once over. The doc was very impressed with her and thought that everything looked great. She also took the opportunity to show the doc how much she can poop and loaded one up for him.
Before we left, they needed to take another sample of blood for the second PKU test (they did the first in the hospital). She was not such a big fan of this, however, and she let us know about it. She turned up the volume and the tears for a while, but mom was there to calm her down and provide a safe place for her. All in all is was a great appointment and we are so happy that she is so healthy!
